New Scientist Quantum computer works best switched off - News:
'A non-running computer produces fewer errors,' says Hosten. That sentiment should have technophobes nodding enthusiastically.
I so don't get it. I've read a bit about QC and like to think that I get most of the basics, but this is beyond me.

In case you're interested in "the basics," I recommend "The Feynman Processor" .. but now that I read the Amazon ratings, apparently other people think the book sucks. Too technical, but not enough equations? whazza? Whatever, its only $10, or I'll let you borrow mine and I'll probably forget, so y'know, free.
